Free delivery on all orders over £50.00.
Orders with a NET value of £50.00 and over. UK Mainland only. Excludes large items of equipment. Excludes student kit orders.
These terms and conditions shall be the only terms of contract between E.A. Ellison & Co. Ltd and the purchaser.
No other conditions shall have effect unless agreed in writing.
1. Prices
Are those ruling at date of despatch and are subject to alteration as may be necessary. Unless otherwise stated prices and delivery charges will be exclusive of VAT at ruling rates and delivery costs. All prices are correct at time of print but may be subject to change without notice. 2. Small orders
Administration costs combined with our keen product pricing policy, result in the need to levy a small order charge of £2.50 on all orders with a net goods value of £25 or less. In practice, with the most comprehensive product Directory in the industry, most customer’s orders exceed this amount.
3. Payment

Cash with Order Customers – Payment is due in full at time of order unless a credit account is held.

Customers with a Credit Account – Payment is due in full, 30 days from date of invoice. Further orders will not be despatched whilst a balance is outstanding. Ellisons reserves the right to alter or amend credit charges, to withdraw credit, to accept or reject orders, to refuse applications, or with prior notice, to close an account.

Special order items require a 50% deposit at the time of placing the order. This deposit is non refundable. The remaining balance must be paid prior to despatch. Alterations or cancellations for special order items cannot be accepted.

Any cancelled or returned cheques issued to Ellisons will be subject to a £25 (per returned cheque) administration fee chargeable to the customer.
4. Overdue accounts
After 40 days a surcharge of 4% of the gross amount will be levied on a daily basis.
5. Retention of title

Property, legal or beneficial, in any goods supplied by the seller, shall pass to the buyer only when the seller has received full payment for all sums then owed by the buyer to the seller.

Goods in respect of which property has remained with the seller shall be kept identifiable as those of the seller, and the buyer shall at its own expense immediately return such goods to the seller, or permit the seller to enter into the buyer’s premises to collect such goods should the seller so request.

Risk shall pass to the buyer with possession of the goods.
6. Claims
Claims arising from loss of, or damage to, goods in transit must be notified to the company in writing, within 3 days of receipt of goods in the case of damage, and 7 days from the date of invoice in the case of loss. Claims made outside the above time limits will not normally be entertained by the Company.
7. Returned goods
Exclusions – For hygiene reasons the seller is unable to accept return of cuticle and nail nippers/scissors or equipment/accessories that have been used. Additionally, as a protective measure for all customers, returns of beauty products which have been opened, hair colours, or any other chemical product will not be accepted. These restrictions are for the benefit of all of our customers and mean that orders will be placed with complete confidence, as all goods supplied are new, and direct from the manufacturer. When goods have been ordered in error or are not as expected, the Company may agree to their return on the following conditions:

The item must be in perfect condition and returned in original packaging carton.

It is the responsibility of the customer to arrange for the return carriage and to ensure that the returned goods are adequately packed to avoid damage in transit. Goods returned not in original packaging and in poor condition will not be refunded.

A request must be made to the Company within 7 days of receipt of goods.

Any refunds given for returned goods will be subject to a handling charge of £5.00 per item/order, or 10% of the value, whichever is the greater. No refunds will be made in respect of carriage charges levied on the original order.

No returned goods will be accepted unless a Returns Authorisation has been given. The appropriate reference number must be quoted on accompanying documentation.

We strongly recommend that proof of posting/ despatch and appropriate insurance are obtained by the customer. We cannot accept liability for lost or damaged parcels in transit to us. Under the distance selling directive you as the customer have a duty of care for the product whilst it is in your possession. If products are damaged by you and subsequently returned, no refund will be made.

Collections can be arranged via our carrier at a cost of £12.99 per parcel. Call for a quotation for returns of bulky items such as furniture or equipment. If you are returning an item via a store, please take your Returns Authorisation with you. For details of your nearest store please click here. Certain items cannot be returned to stores i.e. couches, large items of furniture and equipment. Refunds on special ordered items can not be given unless there is a manufacturing defect or the goods are not as ordered.

If you think an item is faulty please contact us for advice before returning the item. Faulty items must be accompanied by a proof of purchase. Any faulty goods returned within 30 days of purchase with minimal wear and accompanied by a proof of purchase will be exchanged for an identical item or refund. Any faulty goods returned more than 30 days from purchase and accompanied by a proof of purchase may be sent for repair or replaced or refunded at our discretion. Where a fault or the cause of a fault is not apparent we reserve the right to send the item for testing before deciding on any action to be taken. This should take no longer than 10 working days, depending on the item.

Goods which are given free, as part of an offer, are not exchangeable or refundable, unless the full offer is returned, subject to normal conditions.
8. Delivery (door to door standard service)
The company undertakes to effect delivery as expeditiously as possible. Delivery dates cannot be guaranteed as they may be affected by circumstances beyond our control. Neither Ellisons, nor their nominated courier will accept claims for consequential losses due to late delivery.
Force majeure
The company shall be entitled to cancel or delay delivery of orders if it is delayed, hindered or prevented from delivery through circumstances beyond its control. Such circumstances shall include (but are not limited to) industrial action, accident, fire, terrorism, Act of God or failure to deliver by suppliers or carriers.
UK mainland
Orders received before 4.00pm will be despatched on a 24 hour delivery service*.
Orders will normally be sent by preferred courier service. Charges will be as follows:

Orders with a net value of £50 or over will be sent carriage free†.

Orders will be despatched via our preferred courier service at a charge of £4.75 per order under £50.

Urgent express deliveries can be arranged at an additional cost via preferred courier service. For example, a next day before noon delivery will be charged at £12.00 per order and Saturday delivery can be arranged for £14.00 per parcel, or £20.00 per order for a Saturday before noon.

Please allow an extra 2–3 days for deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands.

Worldwide export (Including BFPO)
We will be pleased to arrange for the export of goods to any part of the world – carriage prices upon application. Carriage to Germany and Spain as below:
Frande, Germany and Spain
For all orders greater than 150€ delivery will be free of charge. For all orders less than 150€ there will be a 45€ small order and delivery charge. Minimum order value is 50€ excluding VAT where applicable. Please note the website will not accept orders below 50€. Please note: Free delivery excludes furniture and equipment**.
9. Cancellation
Cancellation of an order prior to delivery will only be accepted on the following terms:

Standard equipment or products – 5% handling charge

Special non–standard items not included in (a) above cannot be accepted for cancellation and payment must be made in full.

Cancellation after despatch cannot be accepted.
10. Alterations
Alterations to orders must be confirmed in writing and agreed in writing by the Company. Alterations cannot be made to special orders.
11. Guarantee
This guarantee shall not apply to damage caused through fire, accident, misuse, fair wear and tear, neglect, or any attempt at repair or adjustment other than by our Service Department. All Esthetix equipment is covered by a full one year guarantee. Other equipment according to manufacturer’s warranty. All glass items are specifically excluded from this guarantee.
12. General
Goods are sold on the understanding that they will only be used for their intended purpose by fully trained, responsible persons, or students under qualified instruction. New accounts will be required to confirm proof of professional qualification. Goods are not supplied on a sale or return basis. No responsibility will be accepted by E.A. Ellison and Co. Ltd. for damage or injury resulting from accidental misuse by untrained personnel without qualified supervision. All offers in this Directory are subject to stock availability, and we reserve the right to restrict or refuse any order or application for credit at any time. We also reserve the right to obtain credit information where necessary. We take great care to ensure the accuracy of images, dimensions, prices and specifications. Whilst such descriptions are given as a guide and in good faith, they are subject to alteration without notice. Please note images are for illustration purposes only.
13. UK exclusive brands
We cannot accept orders from outside the UK for the following brands: Creative Nail Design, Minx Nails, Thuya Cosmetics and Casmara.
14. Call monitoring
Telephone calls may be monitored or recorded as a training aid for our staff and with the aim of improving our service to our customers.
