History
Ellisons was set up in the early 1930's against a background of the depression. It took considerable courage and tenacity by the founder, Miss Ellison, to establish a business at such a time. However, the business developed through various stages and crisis, the second world war being not the least of these.
It's hard to believe that all those years ago, the determined Miss Ellison was out in all weathers on her push bike through the depression and 2nd World War, delivering products to Barber Shops.
Needless to say, she had no idea what Ellisons would become today. Three fully stocked Cash & Carry stores, over 150 staff and a vast chunk of the mail order beauty market, not to mention delivery all over the world (thankfully not on a push bike) |
