Delivery and returns

UK mainland delivery

Orders received before 8.00pm will be despatched on a 24 hour delivery service*. Orders will normally be sent by preferred courier service. Charges will be as follows:

1. Orders with a net value of £50.00 or over will be sent carriage free†.

2. Orders will be despatched via our preferred courier service at a charge of £3.95 per order under £50.

3. Please allow an extra 2–3 days for deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands.

4. AM delivery available on orders placed before 8pm Monday-Thursday charged £2.00 extra with the following exclusions: Isle of Wight, AB, BT, FK, HS, IV, KA, KW, PA, PH postcodes

* Monday to Friday only. † UK mainland only, excludes large items of equipment.

UK offshore delivery

Parcels will normally be sent by Carrier Express Service

1. Northern Ireland – £20.00 per order up to 25Kg. Free of charge if order is over £150.00**. (2–3 day service)

2. Channel Islands – £20.00 per order up to 25Kg. (2–3 day service). Free of charge if order is over £150.00**.

3. Isle of Man – £16.00 per order up to 25Kg. (2–3 day service). Free of charge if order is over £150**.
**Excludes large items.

4. Republic of Ireland (Eire) £20.00 per order up to 25Kg. (2–3 day service). Free of charge if order is over £150.00**.
**Excludes large items.

5. Please ask for a price if urgent delivery is required for any of the above destinations.

Worldwide delivery (Including BFPO)

We are happy to accommodate the export of goods internationally – carriage prices upon application.

For all orders greater than 200€ delivery will be free of charge. For all orders less than 200€ there will be a £45.00 small order and delivery charge. Minimum order value is 100€ excluding VAT where applicable.

Ready to Go salon assembled service

Is your salon difficult to access? Do you need some help in assembling the furniture or equipment you have ordered and don’t want the hassle of disposing of bulky packaging? Our Ready to Go salon assembled service has been tailored to meet your needs.

When you order hair or beauty furniture or large items of equipment you will be offered our Ready to Go salon assembled service. We will quote on an item by item basis for delivery to your door. A specialist carrier will de-box, unwrap and assemble your new equipment (where required) and locate the goods to the location specified by you. The carrier will also clear all of the bulky packaging leaving you ready to receive your next client with the minimum of fuss or delay.

In many cases our Ready to Go service is more cost effective than receiving your goods by our standard delivery service, reducing inconvenience and the risk of damage whilst you try to position your new equipment in your salon or treatment room.

Ellisons aim to provide a quick and hassle-free delivery service to help meet your business needs. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, delivery dates cannot always be guaranteed. Neither Ellisons, nor their nominated courier will accept claims for consequential losses due to late delivery.

Force Majeure

We are entitled to amend the delivery status of orders if it is delayed, hindered or prevented from delivery through circumstances beyond our control. Such circumstances include (but are not limited to) industrial action, accident, fire, terrorism, Act of God or failure to deliver by suppliers or carriers.

Returned goods

For hygiene purposes and the benefit of our customers, the following items cannot be refunded:

  • Any sealed product which has been opened or unsealed
  • Manicure and pedicure tools, cosmetics, hairbrushes and combs, scissors and blades, ear piercing supplies and hair colours or any other chemical products

When goods have been ordered in error or are not as expected, the company may agree to their return on the following conditions:

1. The item must be in perfect condition and returned in original packaging carton.

2. It is the responsibility of the customer to arrange for the return carriage and to ensure that the returned goods are adequately packed to avoid damage in transit. Goods returned not in original packaging and in poor condition will not be refunded.

3. A request must be made to the Company within 7 days of receipt of goods.

4. Any refunds given for returned goods will be subject to a handling charge of £5.00 per item/order, or 10% of the value, whichever is the greater. No refunds will be made in respect of carriage charges levied on the original order.

5. No returned goods will be accepted unless a Returns Authorisation has been given. The appropriate reference number must be quoted on accompanying documentation.

6. We strongly recommend that proof of posting/ despatch and appropriate insurance are obtained by the customer. We cannot accept liability for lost or damaged parcels in transit to us. Under the distance selling directive you as the customer have a duty of care for the product whilst it is in your possession. If products are damaged by you and subsequently returned, no refund will be made.

7. Collections can be arranged via our carrier at a cost of £12.99 per parcel. Call for a quotation for returns of bulky items such as furniture or equipment. If you are returning an item via a store, please take your Returns Authorisation with you. For details of your nearest store please click here. Certain items cannot be returned to store i.e. couches, large items of furniture and equipment. Refunds on special ordered items cannot be given unless there is a manufacturing defect or the goods are not as ordered.

8. If you think an item is faulty please contact us for advice before returning the item. Faulty items must be accompanied by a proof of purchase. Any faulty goods returned within 30 days of purchase with minimal wear and accompanied by a proof of purchase will be exchanged for an identical item or refund. Any faulty goods returned more than 30 days from purchase and accompanied by a proof of purchase may be sent for repair or replaced or refunded at our discretion. Where a fault or the cause of a fault is not apparent we reserve the right to send the item for testing before deciding on any action to be taken. This should take no longer than 10 working days, depending on the item.

9. Goods which are given free, as part of an offer, are not exchangeable or refundable, unless the full offer is returned, subject to normal conditions. † UK mainland only, excludes large items of equipment. * Monday to Friday only.
